Our Projects

OPAC Refinery is designed to operate in compliance with international best practices and the standards set by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), including API, ASME, and ASTM.

Our expansion plan, currently in the design phase, will enable the production of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and jet fuel, while also increasing overall production capacity. This will allow us to achieve higher output volumes and expand into new markets.

Technical Information

Our modular refinery located in Umuseti, Delta State, is the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa. It was designed and constructed by a world-class team of engineers and technicians with years of experience in refinery technology to meet stringent conditions and regulatory requirements.

The Oil Refinery Unit is a sealed, airtight system, fitted with a fire defense system (FDS). This unit comprises four production lines, with each line consisting of two blocks: a heating block and a rectification block.

The residual gas from the refinery unit is channeled back into the system as fuel for the burner, making the unit resource-efficient.

The modular refinery maintains high safety standards, with equipment, fittings, and connection pipelines having temperatures higher than 50°C being thoroughly insulated.

Midstream Operations

OPAC Refineries is a key player in the midstream sector of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria as one of the first and foremost modular refineries to be fully completed.

Our refinery is strategically situated onshore within Umuseti marginal field in Oil Mining Lease (OML) 56, Ndokwa West Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State, Nigeria.

This presents us with a unique opportunity and grants us access to sweet light crude at significantly lower costs than our major competitors.

Our core activity is the refining of crude oil into valuable petroleum products.
